During this Asana Lab, we will direct our attention to upper back and neck alignment. Through strengthening and stretching exercises, we will relieve tension through the upper back, head and neck as well as encourage the natural lordosis of the neck to get the head back on our shoulders. We will also build strength around the shoulder blades and rib cage, to shape the curve of the upper back, as well as stretch the tight — and often weak — pecs of the chest. Finally, we learn some quick, desk-friendly techniques to dissolve discomfort created by sitting for too long.
